Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital proudly stands as one of the 18 Labor Hero collectives of the reform era, 2021-2025, of the 11th National Patriotic Competition Congress

On the morning of 27/12/2025, the 11th National Patriotic Competition Congress was solemnly held at the National Convention Center, the capital Hanoi.

With the theme "Innovation, creativity, accelerating breakthroughs to usher the country into an era of strong, civilized, and prosperous development", the 11th National Patriotic Competition Congress officially took place at the National Convention Center, Hanoi from December 26 to 27, with the participation of 2,223 delegates, including 198 guest delegates and 2,025 official delegates.

The delegation of the Ministry of Health, led by Party Central Committee member and Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan, Chairman of the Ministry of Health Competition and Reward Council, as the head of the delegation, together with 29 delegates attended the Congress. These delegates represent collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements, heroic collectives, competition fighters, and exemplary models in the health sector's competition work over the past five years.

Among them, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital received the "Labor Hero" title in 2024. From the 2021-2025 period, the hospital continues to affirm its position as one of the leading medical institutions nationwide, constantly innovating, creating, pioneering digital transformation, improving the quality of medical examination, treatment and training, deserving to be a model exemplary of the health sector.

As a pioneering unit in healthcare digital transformation, it effectively implements smart hospital models, electronic medical records, cashless medical services, and manages patient information with QR codes, contributing to improved service quality and citizen satisfaction. The hospital has adopted many advanced, specialized techniques such as advanced laparoscopic surgery, cardiovascular interventions, and treatment of complex diseases, helping to reduce hospital stay duration, costs, and risks for patients.
