Christmas atmosphere spreads at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City
As the year draws to a close, the Christmas atmosphere has gently arrived at University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City (UMC). From the ground floor lobby to the clinical departments, the greenery of pine trees, warm lights, and meticulously arranged Christmas displays have brought a sense of peace amidst the high-pressure professional workflow.
The festive atmosphere not only beautifies the Hospital's space but also reflects a subtle care for the mental well-being of the staff and employees—those who tirelessly care for patients day and night.
Working at the Endoscopy Department, Mr. Pham Dang Khoa shared that amidst the flurry of professional work, the Christmas atmosphere at the Hospital brings a sense of closeness and intimacy. “Small decorated corners, warm lights, and the sharing of colleagues make me feel the connection in the workplace more clearly,” he said.
In the Emergency Department – where the work pace is always stressful, Nurse Le Thi Thanh Tu said that the festive atmosphere present in every small corner has brought a pleasant feeling between consecutive shifts. “Just a little Christmas color is enough to help us slow down for a few seconds, gaining more energy to continue accompanying the patients,” she shared.
For long-serving staff members, Christmas at UMC always brings many emotions. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Yen – Nutrition and Dietetics Department, mentioned that every Christmas season, the Hospital puts on a new look. “The bustling atmosphere spreading from the lobby to the departments makes me always look forward to the final days of the year, because that is when everyone feels more clearly the connection within the UMC family,” she expressed.
Amidst the relentless rhythm of work, those Christmas moments become a meaningful source of spiritual encouragement, spreading positive energy and nurturing cohesion among the staff and employees. Christmas at UMC is not loud, but filled with warmth and sharing, sending wishes for a peaceful holiday season and a serene New Year to the patients and the entire medical team.
