Spreading historical values and cultivating the spirit of serving patients through the film screening program at University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City
Toward the celebration of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026) and International Workers' Day (May 1), University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City, in coordination with the Young Film Studio, organized a historical film screening program, contributing to spreading traditional values within the modern medical environment.

The program was implemented over two days, April 23 and 24, 2026, at Hall 3A, with 4 screening sessions, attracting over 700 viewings from the Hospital's staff and employees. This active response demonstrates the impact of a simple activity that touches the depth of emotions and awareness of the attendees. This is not only an opportunity for each individual to look back at the important historical milestones of the nation, but also contributes to cultivating pride and a sense of responsibility in work and life.

Within the framework of the program, the selected historical films for screening included "Mưa Đỏ" (Red Rain) and "Địa Đạo" (The Tunnels), recreating authentic, emotional stories about war and the nation's struggle for independence, leaving many lingering echoes in the hearts of viewers. After each screening, the atmosphere of exchange and sharing took place naturally, contributing to deeply spreading historical values and patriotism right within the hospital environment.

Sharing at the program, MA. Đặng Anh Long, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Hospital Sub-Union, stated that the activity not only carries commemorative significance but also contributes to nurturing spiritual life and enhancing cohesion within the team of officials, staff, and employees. According to him, through these historical footage clips, everyone has an additional opportunity to look back at the past, thereby appreciating the values of peace more and gaining more motivation to successfully complete professional tasks, serving patients better and better.

The historical film screening activity is one of the approachable ways to integrate traditional education into the working environment at the Hospital, contributing to building a humane living space rich in identity. Through this, the team of officials, staff, and employees has an additional opportunity to look back at the values of the past, thereby elevating the sense of responsibility in the work of caring for and serving patients.
