Delegates Conference of Civil Servants and Employees of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City 2025
On 5/11/2025, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City (the Hospital) will hold the Delegates Conference of Civil Servants - Employees (VC-NLĐ) 2025, marking a strong transformation to summarize the tasks of the 2024–2025 academic year, discuss key objectives and solutions for the new academic year, continue implementing the grassroots democratic charter, create a democratic, open, transparent working environment, build a spirit of solidarity, continuously improve the quality of medical services, training and scientific research, contributing to the Hospital's sustainable development.
The conference warmly welcomed Prof. Dr. Tran Diep Tuan – Party Secretary, Chairman of the School Council; Associate Professor Nguyen Hoai Phong – Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Head of the Inspection Committee; Colonel Nguyen Phuc Hau – Member of the Party Committee Board, Deputy Head of the General Administration Department; Dr. Dang Nguyen Trung An – Head of the General Administration Department and leader of the functional departments of the University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City. From the Hospital side, there were participants Associate Professor Dang Anh Long – Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the Trade Union; Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Dinh – Party Committee Member, Deputy Director; Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Anh – Deputy Director; Associate Professor Dr. Le Khac Bao – Deputy Director; together with other comrades in the Party Committee, unit leaders and more than 250 delegates summoned.


On behalf of the Chairman's Delegation, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Dinh presented a report on the Hospital's activities for the academic year 2024 - 2025 and the main plan for the academic year 2025-2026. The report recognized the hospital's efforts, unity and spirit of innovation with outstanding results in core activities: treatment, training, scientific research, digital transformation and management.

Next, M.Sc. Dang Anh Long reported on the financial activities for the academic year 2024-2025 and the financial plan for 2025-2026, ensuring the principles of openness, transparency and optimization of the Hospital's resources. At the same time, the colleague emphasized the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for the lives of officials and workers, actively launching competitive campaigns tied to innovative initiatives, building a culture of professional conduct and patient safety.

In the discussion session, Dr. Tran Hoa – Deputy Head of the Interventional Cardiology Department, Head of the Intracavitary Intervention Unit, expressed opinions on the internal hospital overload situation as well as the desire to hear guidance on expanding additional facilities for medical examination and treatment. On behalf of the chairman delegation, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Anh respectfully received the opinions and stated that the hospital has, in recent times, optimized processes, maximized the use of space, expanded functions in units that need pressure relief and planned infrastructure upgrades in several functional areas.

In his directive statement, Professor Dr. Tran Diep Tuan praised the achievements of the Hospital; encouraged the Hospital to build a strong, sustainable team and research groups with a specific organizational structure. On the school side, Professor Dr. Tran Diep Tuan stated that the school leadership together with the Hospital leadership have surveyed several options for expanding the facilities and are continuing to consider proposals to the competent authorities when the association meets all required conditions; they will cooperate with related units to assign a department responsible for contact, exchange, and carrying out procedures. The school proposesThe hospital continues to intensify the application of information technology and digital platforms, develop applications serving the public, patients and VC-Labor, thereby laying the foundation for building a centralized data center of the Hospital at the School level. On that basis, the Hospital continues to elevate and deepen health care services and cutting‑edge fields to maintain and further affirm the pioneering role of the Hospital.

In response, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Dinh said the Hospital will establish centers of excellence in expertise at all facilities, create a sustainable potential research team and build a large database system. Besides, the Hospital will continue to build a professional and humane working environment, strengthen competition and reward mechanisms, training and capacity development for the management team. The Hospital will always accompany, share, contribute in a spirit of responsibility, respect, share core values, and build the image of the School and the Hospital.
At the end of the conference, the body passed the 2025 Delegates VC-NLĐ Conference Resolution with high consensus. The Board of Directors believes that with a tradition of unity, dedication, creativity and resilience, the Hospital will continue to write new chapters in its ongoing development journey as a model practice hospital, deserving of its leading university hospital status.
