Delegates Conference of the Department Hospital Union, University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City, term 2025-2030

On the afternoon of 20/11/2025, the Delegates Conference of the Department Hospital Union, University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City (UMC) term 2025 – 2030 was organized to summarize the staff–workers (VC-NLĐ) movement for the period 2023 – 2025, draw lessons and approve the activity direction for the new term, aiming for better care and to promote the strength of unity throughout the Hospital.

Associate Professor Đặng Anh Long – Deputy Secretary of the Department Party Committee, President of the Hospital Union, stated that during the 2023 – 2025 term, although the Hospital Union manages the largest number of members in the entire system with over 3,100 members and 40 Union Teams, the Executive Committee (BCH) still maintains strong compliance, transparency and efficiency in all activities. The Union has taken practical care of the staff–workers' lives, fully monitored policies and benefits, organized many cultural – sports, women’s and welfare activities; at the same time, actively participated in charitable programs and introduced many outstanding members to the Party. These results help the UMC Union continue to uphold its role as a strong union organization, creating trust and cohesion throughout the Hospital.

Based on the results presented by Associate Professor Đặng Anh Long, Comrade Trần Khánh Linh - Standing Committee Member of the Labor Union at the University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City, acknowledges and highly appreciates the efforts of the Board of the Labor Union of ĐHYD Hospital throughout the past term. She emphasizes that in the period when the country continues to innovate and develop, the role of the Hospital Labor Union becomes even more important as it both carries out specialized professional tasks and serves as a core force of the Institutional Labor Union with a large number of members and a wide scope of activities. She also notes a prominent “bright spot” that the ĐHYD Hospital Labor Union is the only Department Labor Union to date that has established a Legal Propaganda Committee, proactively and seriously carrying out the dissemination of resolutions, decrees and documents related to the lawful rights and interests of employers and employees.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Dinh, Party Committee member of the Department, Deputy Director of the Hospital, expressed his emotional feelings when looking back at the humanitarian activities that the Union has carried out during the past term, especially the deep concern for staff and workers. He sent commendations to the Union Board for their persistent efforts and said that today's conference is an occasion to jointly strengthen the spirit, launch the new term with higher determination. He requested the Union to continue maintaining stability in operations, promote the role of uniting the team, and at the same time intensify the scientific research movement among officials and union members, thereby contributing to improving professional quality and promoting sustainable development of the Hospital.

In the new term, the Union sets out five core task groups, including caring for and protecting the rights of civil servants and workers; innovating the competition movement in a practical direction and linking it to professional tasks; strengthening propaganda, education and the application of information technology in activities; developing union members, training outstanding union members; and simultaneously continuing to promote women's work activities, family concerns, and charitable programs.

The conference voted to pass the Resolution of the Union's Executive Committee for the 2025–2030 term with high consensus, reflecting the spirit of unity and responsibility of all delegates. The UMC Union continues to be affirmed as a reliable support for civil servants and workers, an important bridge between workers and the Hospital, contributing to building a humane, professional, and sustainable working environment.
