The staff and workers of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital join hands to share and support the people in addressing the aftermath of storms and floods
On the morning of December 29, responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and upholding the tradition of mutual assistance, the staff and workers of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital (BV ĐHYD) joined hands to support the people of the provinces affected by storm and flood damages with a total amount of 963,734,160 VND.
The above funding was taken from one day's salary of all staff and workers serving at facilities under BV ĐHYD. This contribution is based on a voluntary spirit, arising from the sincere sharing of the medical team and health staff in the face of losses and damages that people are confronting after the natural disaster.

At the reception, Comrade Phan Hong An – Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, acknowledged and expressed sincere gratitude for the charitable act of the BV ĐHYD collective. He stated that the supporting funds will be managed by the City Relief Mobilization Committee, allocated promptly, focusing on assisting people in mitigating the aftermath of the natural disaster, gradually stabilizing livelihoods.
On behalf of the collective staff and workers at the Hospital, Comrade Đặng Anh Long – Deputy Secretary of the Hospital Party Committee, Chairman of the Hospital Trade Union, Head of the Finance and Accounting Department, shares that besides the mission of caring for and protecting the health of the people, the medical staff of BV DHYD always have a deep sense of responsibility to society. This joint effort is not only material support, but also a desire to share in some of the losses and difficulties of the people, thereby spreading the spirit of mutual help and solidarity within the community.
In the final days of the year, when each family is looking forward to a season of reunion, this sharing feels like a sincere message. We hope that these heartfelt contributions will continue to extend, that the people of the regions affected by storms and floods will gradually ease their hardships, gain more confidence to overcome difficulties, and welcome a peaceful, warmer New Year season.
