Vietnam - Cuba Friendship: Officials and staff of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City are ready to join hands

Over the past 65 years, the relationship between Vietnam and Cuba has become a rare symbol in the history of international relations, nurtured by blood, sweat, and the loyal affection between the two peoples. From the sacred oath “For Vietnam, Cuba is ready to sacrifice its own blood” of leader Fidel Castro, to the projects, teams of doctors, and vaccines that Cuba has provided to Vietnam, this friendship has always been cherished and preserved by the peoples of both countries.

Building on that tradition, officials and staff of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City (BV ĐHYD) are always ready to join hands with their hearts to support and share with the Cuban people during the current difficult period. These deeds are not only material assistance but also carry deep affection and gratitude toward the country that has stood shoulder to shoulder with Vietnam in the most challenging times.

Since its founding, BV ĐHYD has imbued a humanitarian spirit, viewing health care and community sharing as a noble mission. Therefore, when a call to join hands toward the Cuban people arose, the hospital’s officials and staff quickly responded. This is proof of international solidarity, affirming that humanitarian values will always spread and connect among nations.

Assoc. Prof. Đặng Anh Long - Chairman of the Hospital Department Trade Union shared: “We always deeply cherish and are profoundly grateful for the sincere friendship and valuable assistance that the people of Cuba have given to Vietnam during the most difficult moments in history. Today, every contribution, however small, from hospital staff and workers is a continuation of that ironclad solidarity, demonstrating our unity, compassion, and responsibility towards our international friends.”
