In the early days of April, University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City (UMC) organized a gathering to celebrate the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay 2026 New Year for staff and employees originally from Cambodia, born in Cambodia, and ethnic Khmer staff and employees currently working at the Hospital. This is a practical annual activity, demonstrating the care of the Party Committee, Board of Directors, and Hospital Trade Union for the spiritual life of the personnel team, while contributing to building a humane, cohesive working environment that respects cultural diversity within the common UMC home.

Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Định – Deputy Director of University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City, interacted and congratulated everyone on the Chol Chnam Thmay 2026 New Year in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
The gathering was attended by Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Định – Deputy Director of the Hospital; MA. Trần Văn Hùng – Head of the Social Work Department; along with 36 staff and employees currently working across departments, faculties, and units throughout the Hospital. These are members working far away from their hometowns during their traditional New Year, so the program was not only an early year meeting but also an opportunity to share and encourage, helping each individual clearly feel the companionship of the Hospital collective in their spiritual life.

The silent contributions, sense of responsibility, and efforts of each staff member and employee, regardless of their working position, are important foundations helping the Hospital successfully complete its mission of caring for the people's health.

Organizing the Chol Chnam Thmay gathering for staff and employees has become an internal cultural feature maintained for many years. Alongside care activities during the Lunar New Year, the Hospital always cares about the traditional holidays of employee groups, contributing to building a working environment that respects cultural differences and upholds the spirit of solidarity. At UMC, every member, regardless of which region or country they come from, is recognized, valued, and accompanied in the Hospital's common development journey.
