Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital is classified at the professional level "Highly Technical Specialized" with the highest score

Recently, the Ministry of Health announced the professional classification results of 48 affiliated hospitals. Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital (BV ĐHYD) is one of four hospitals classified at the professional level “Highly Technical Specialized”, with the highest score of 94/100.

The technical professional classification is based on four important competency groups, including:

- Capability to provide medical examination and treatment services and the scope of professional activities;

- Capability to participate in medical practice training;

- Ability to provide technical support to other health care facilities;

- Ability to conduct scientific research in medicine.

Based on the professional classification of medical facilities, health insurance participants when receiving medical examination and treatment can recognize the medical facility as a primary care facility, a “basic” level medical facility, a “specialized” level, and a “high-tech specialized” level.
