Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital is honored among the top 50 exemplary units with leading brands and products of Ho Chi Minh City

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification (30/4/1975 – 30/4/2025), on April 15, 2025, at the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City organized a ceremony to honor 50 exemplary enterprises and units with leading brands and products of Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital (BV ĐHYD) is honored as one of the 50 units recognized at this event. This prestigious title acknowledges the hospital's persistent efforts, continuous innovation, creativity, and positive contributions to the nation's health care, as well as the sustainable development of Ho Chi Minh City, making it a deserving teaching hospital of a leading Vietnamese university and meeting international standards.

The program was launched by the City People's Committee with participation from businesses and non-business units. The criteria and scoring system were meticulously, publicly, and transparently established, focusing on categories such as brand value, professional competence, social responsibility, innovation, and sustainable development. The evaluation process was carried out by a council of experts to ensure objectivity and representation.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Bac – Hospital Director shares: “The healthcare sector of Ho Chi Minh City is undergoing a strong and comprehensive transformation – from primary to specialized healthcare systems, from preventive work to treatment and rehabilitation. These coordinated efforts not only improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, but also significantly enhance the quality of life of the people.”

In the coming period, ĐHYD Hospital will focus on four strategic directions: developing a specialized medical center; becoming a high-quality medical human resources training center and pioneering scientific research; accelerating comprehensive digital transformation to improve management efficiency, monitoring and treatment; strengthening international integration, accessing medical advances and connecting with leading global medical centers. In the new era, the Hospital will continue its efforts – starting from the smallest things – to improve treatment quality and provide the best experience for patients.”

Over 31 years of establishment and development, BV ĐHYD has built its strengths from a harmonious combined model of Teachers – Physicians – Scientists, tightly linking the School and the Institute.
