Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital receives the Labor Hero award

On December 30, 2024, at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital solemnly held the 30th anniversary celebration and was honored to receive the prestigious Labor Hero title awarded by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The special event not only acknowledges the great contributions of successive generations of leaders and pioneering teachers in the formation and development of the Hospital, but also serves as a strong motivation for the Hospital to continue affirming its pioneering role in healthcare, education, and scientific research, deserving to be the teaching hospital of Vietnam's leading university and to meet international standards.

At the solemn ceremony, Vice President Võ Thị Ánh Xuân, on behalf of the Party and State leadership, awarded the Labor Hero title to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, for its outstanding achievements in labor and innovation.

On this occasion, the Hospital also had the honor of receiving other prestigious titles, including:
- Vice President Võ Thị Ánh Xuân presented the Second-Class Labor Medal to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Bac, Outstanding Educator and Outstanding Physician, Director of the Hospital, and the Third-Class Labor Medal to the Hospital's Intensive Care Department.

- Minister of Health Đào Hồng Lan awarded the Government's Flag of Emulation to the Hospital for excellently and comprehensively fulfilling its duties, leading the patriotic emulation movement of the Ministry of Health in 2023.

- Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc presented the Traditional Flag of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to the Hospital for its continuous achievements over many years on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Hospital's establishment (1994 – 2024).

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan highly praised the Hospital's dynamism and creativity, affirming the role of the university's practice hospital model, which should be replicated to promote coordinated development of the national healthcare system. With an unceasing spirit of innovation, the Hospital has achieved many important and exemplary milestones, pioneering the application of modern hospital management models, optimizing resources, enhancing service quality, strong digital transformation, building a smart hospital system, improving management efficiency and patient experience; continuously investing in scientific research and training, making a positive contribution to the development of the country's healthcare sector.
