University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital Ho Chi Minh City - Advanced Exemplary Model in the Health Sector at the 7th Patriotic Competition Congress (2025–2030)
On 26/10/2025, at the International Conference Center, Hanoi, the Ministry of Health solemnly organized the 8th Patriotic Competition Congress of the Health Sector (2025–2030) with the theme “Unity – Creativity – Confidently stepping into the era of the nation's advancement.”
The congress aims to summarize and assess the patriotic competition movement in the Health Sector for the 2020–2025 period; commend and honor exemplary advanced collectives and individuals, and launch the competition movement for the 2025–2030 period, aiming at the goals of unity, creativity, and effectively fulfilling the task of caring for and protecting the people's health.
At the congress, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Khắc Bảo – Deputy Director of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital Ho Chi Minh City, representing one of the advanced exemplary collectives, presented a paper titled: “From Pioneer to Leader: The Development Journey of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital Ho Chi Minh City.”
The University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital Ho Chi Minh City was awarded the Labor Hero title in 2024, further confirming its position as one of the leading healthcare institutions in the country, continuously innovating, creating, and pioneering in digital transformation, improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, training, and scientific research.
The hospital effectively implements the Smart Hospital model, electronic medical records, cashless medical examinations and treatments, and manages patient information with QR codes, contributing to improved service quality and citizen satisfaction. At the same time, the hospital applies many advanced, specialized techniques such as advanced laparoscopic surgery, interventions, and treatment of many complex diseases, helping reduce hospital stay duration, costs, and risks for patients.
The hospital actively participates in patriotic competition movements, linking them with the improvement of professional ethics, quality improvement, and modern, integrated hospital management reforms, becoming a notable exemplary point in the health sector's patriotic competition movement, making a positive contribution to the mission of protecting and enhancing the people's health during the period of renewal and integration.
On this occasion, the Outpatient Department and Facility 2 of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City were honored by the President with the Third Class Labor Medal, and Facility 3 of the same university hospital received a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Health. These prestigious awards recognize the outstanding efforts and contributions in medical examination, treatment, and community service.
