Functions & Tasks

Advises on, organizes, and operates social work activities in the hospital; serves as the focal point for coordinating psychological and social support for patients and their families; and, at the same time, builds multidisciplinary partnerships to ensure patients receive comprehensive support in line with the latest standards.

The Social Work Department was established in 2016. Its predecessor was the Development Planning Department (2007).

Development Orientation
- Provide and develop medical support services ensuring each client receives comprehensive health care, adding value for the client and
the Hospital. - Organize connecting activities, mobilize and effectively use material and spiritual support resources for patients.
- Support and provide resources or assistance services for patients/relatives of patients/medical staff to leverage their own abilities during care and treatment.
- Provide human resources and practical training programs for Hospital Social Work for units and organizations in need.
- Pioneer the development of health social work models, contributing to elevating the status of the social work sector in Vietnam.
