Guide to booking medical appointments online

To help patients proactively schedule appointments, reduce waiting time, and enhance the medical experience, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City implements online appointment booking via the UMC Care app and website.

Patients can easily book appointments anytime, anywhere, choose specialties, doctors, and suitable time slots with just a few simple steps.

1. Download and install the app

Patients can download the app using one of the following methods:

Visit App Store (for iPhone) or Google Play (for Android phones), search for UMC Care
Or scan QR code

After installation, patients register or log in with their personal phone number as instructed.

2. Guide to scheduling a medical appointment

After logging in, the patient follows these steps in order:

2.1. Step 1: Choose Book Appointment

On the main screen of the app/website home page, select the “Book Appointment” function to start scheduling an appointment.

2.2. Step 2: Choose patient profile

Select an existing patient profile
Or create a new patient profile when booking for a relative

Profile information must be entered completely and accurately.

2.3. Step 3: Choose appointment details

The patient selects the following information:

Medical specialty
Doctor
Appointment date
Suitable appointment time slot

The system will display available time slots for the patient to choose.

2.4. Step 4: Confirm appointment information

Review all selected information. If the information is correct, continue to confirm to proceed to the payment step.

2.5. Step 5: Payment

The patient makes payment according to the instructions on the app to complete the booking.

2.6. Step 6: Complete and receive the examination ticket

After successful payment, the system will provide an electronic examination ticket displayed on the app or website.

3. When arriving at the hospital for examination

Patient without health insurance: arrive directly at the clinic 15-30 minutes before the appointment to confirm examination information

Patients with health insurance: go to counters 12,13,14 on the ground floor area A to confirm insurance before entering the clinic (If a follow‑up visit and have health insurance confirmation on UMC Care before then go straight to the clinic)

Patients with hospital fee guarantee: go to the registration counters to complete procedures before entering the clinic.
