2. Guide to outpatient fee guarantee steps at the Hospital
2.1. Case where the patient has not been covered by the Fee Guarantee Company, before the examination
1) The patient registers for examination on the ground floor, Area A of the Hospital, declares having company insurance and pays the examination fee.
2) Undergoes examination, pays the fee and performs laboratory tests according to the usual examination procedure.
3) After the examination session ends, the patient goes to the “Fee Guarantee” office on the ground floor, Area A:
- Presents the insurance card, ID/Passport and medical records (prescription, doctor's orders and receipt for laboratory fees (if any), laboratory results.
- Completes the fee guarantee confirmation procedure and waits for the guarantee result from the company within 30 minutes
- Receives back the amount guaranteed by the company if applicable.

Note: In cases where the patient registers for examination at the registration desk via the UMC app or call center, they must go to the registration department on the ground floor, Area A of the hospital to confirm the company insurance information before entering the examination room.

2.2. Case where the patient is covered by the Fee Guarantee Company, guarantee notification before examination
1) The patient registers for medical examination and receives advice on the fee guarantee procedure at the Fee Guarantee Office, ground floor, Area A.
2) Examination and clinical tests will not require payment if the incurred amount is within the pre‑guaranteed limit, or payment is required if it exceeds the guarantee amount.
3) After the examination period ends, the patient returns to the “Fee Guarantee” Office to complete the guarantee payment procedures.

3. Guide to fee guarantee steps for inpatient treatment at the Hospital
1) The patient completes the fee guarantee procedure at the department upon admission.
2) Pay advances for costs not covered by the guarantee according to Hospital regulations.
3) Directly deduct the costs covered by the guaranteeing company from the hospital fees upon discharge.
4) Sign the required forms according to the fee guarantee company's regulations.

4. Guide to fee guarantee steps for emergency admission
1) The patient pays an advance for treatment costs as per Hospital regulations.
2) Complete the fee guarantee procedure at the treatment department for inpatient admission, or directly obtain fee guarantee from the company for discharge from the emergency department.
