Inpatient treatment process
Patients may be admitted to the Hospital when deemed medically necessary by their doctor. A nurse or medical secretary will provide an initial consultation regarding the estimated total treatment cost and room charges. The patient will then receive a “Hospital admission form – Pre-admission counseling form” and proceed to the relevant inpatient department to complete the admission procedures.
1. Hospital admission process
- Submit the required documents for hospital admission.
- Receive information about the estimated treatment costs, insurance procedures and payment policies, available room types, and other relevant matters.
- Pay the required deposit.
- Meet with the doctor for examination and undergo any prescribed diagnostic or paraclinical tests.
- For patients scheduled for surgery or procedures, the doctor will assess the patient’s risk level, request consultations from other specialties if necessary, assess nutritional status, and determine the appropriate level of care.
- Patients who do not require surgery will receive inpatient treatment according to the doctor’s instructions.
- Check into the assigned room and receive information about room amenities, Hospital regulations, caregiver and visitor policies, and other available Hospital services.
2. Required documents for hospital admission
- Hospital admission form
- Citizen Identity Card/Passport; Birth Certificate for children
- Health Insurance card, Health Insurance referral document, and other insurance documents eligible for direct billing/cashless insurance services at the Hospital, if applicable
- Medical records as requested by the doctor, such as laboratory test results, diagnostic imaging results, prescriptions, etc.
3. Hospital discharge process
- Once discharge is approved by the doctor, the patient will receive the Discharge certificate, itemized statement of medical expenses, prescription, and follow-up appointment information.
- Settle hospital fees at the Department’s Accounting Counter.
- After completing the discharge procedures, the patient will receive instructions on medication use, diet, monitoring and care at home, as well as follow-up arrangements.
