Outpatient examination process
I. Register for medical examination
1. For patients without health insurance
Before the appointment day:
Register and receive the examination voucher via:
+ UMC Care 24/7
+ At the hospital: Registration desk, or at the examination desk after the examination is completed (applies to patients with an examination card)
- On the appointment day, the patient should go directly to the examination room 15–30 minutes before the scheduled time
On the appointment day:
Register and receive the examination voucher at the hospital:
+ The registration desks
+ UMC Care app
2. For patients with BHYT
Before the appointment:
Register and receive the medical examination ticket via:
+ UMC Care app 24/7
+ At the hospital: Registration desk for medical examination, or at the examination desk after the examination is completed (applies to patients with a medical examination card)
- On the examination day, the patient should go to counters 12, 13, 14 15–30 minutes before the appointment to confirm BHYT
On the examination day:
- Register, confirm health insurance and receive the examination ticket at the registration counters
II. Receiving patients at the clinic
- Patients are received, have vital signs measured and examined according to regulations, in order of sequence
III. Medical examination
- Conduct specialist examinations at clinics
IV. Perform paraclinical examinations (if any)
Carry out the prescribed paraclinical examinations as requested by the doctor
- Pay the fees and undergo the procedures at the paraclinical departments
Payment methods:
- Scan the QR code on the prescription form
- Use the medical examination card (cost deducted from the card account)
- Pay via e-wallet/Momo/VCB Digibank using the code on the prescription form
- Payment via UMC Care
- Payment at the cashier desk (cash or cashless)
- Patients monitor notification messages when results are available
- After receiving results, return to the clinic to continue treatment
V. Reading results, counseling and prescribing medication
- The patient returns to the clinic when the full laboratory results are available
- The doctor consults the results
- The patient receives the prescription
VI. Health Insurance Settlement
- Not applicable for patients without health insurance
- For patients with health insurance: settle at counters 17–20, ground floor, area A
VII. Buy/Receive medication
- Patients without health insurance: purchase medication at pharmacy area A or area B
- Patients with health insurance: receive medication at pharmacy area B
