Outpatient examination process
1. I. Appointment registration
1.1. For patients without Health Insurance
Before the appointment date:
- Register and receive an appointment slip through:
- The UMC Care app
- At the Hospital: Registration Counters, or at the consultation desk after completing the visit (applicable to patients with a Patient Card)
- On the appointment date, patients should proceed directly to the consultation room 15–30 minutes before the scheduled time.
On the appointment date:
- Register and receive an appointment slip at the Hospital through:
- Registration Counters
- The UMC Care app
1.2. For patients with Health Insurance
Before the appointment date:
- Register and receive an appointment slip through:
- The UMC Care app or Website
- At the Hospital: Registration Counters, or at the consultation desk after completing the visit (applicable to patients with a Patient Card)
- On the appointment date, patients should proceed to Counters 12, 13, or 14 15–30 minutes before the scheduled time to verify their Health Insurance information.
On the appointment date:
- Register, verify Health Insurance information, and receive an appointment slip at the Registration Counters.
2. II. Patient reception at the consultation room
- Patients will be received, have their vital signs measured, and be called for consultation according to Hospital procedures and their queue number.
3. III. Medical consultation
- Receive specialist consultation at the designated consultation room.
4. IV. Diagnostic and paraclinical services (if required)
- Complete diagnostic and paraclinical services as ordered by the doctor.
- Pay the required fees and proceed to the relevant diagnostic or paraclinical department.
Payment methods:
- Scan the QR code on the service order.
- Use the Patient Card (fees will be deducted from the card balance).
- Pay via e-wallet/MoMo/VCB Digibank using the payment code on the service order.
- Pay through the UMC Care app.
- Pay at the cashier counter by cash or cashless payment methods.
- Monitor SMS notifications for test result availability.
- Once all results are available, return to the consultation room to continue treatment.
5. V. Result review, consultation, and prescription
- Return to the consultation room once all diagnostic and paraclinical results are available.
- The doctor will review and explain the results.
- Receive the prescription.
6. VI. Health Insurance settlement
- Not applicable to patients without Health Insurance.
- Patients with Health Insurance should complete the settlement process at Counters 17–20, Ground Floor, Building A.
7. VII. Purchase/collection of medications
- Patients without Health Insurance: Purchase medications at Pharmacy A or Pharmacy B.
- Patients with Health Insurance: Collect medications at Pharmacy B.
