Novelty is an important characteristic, as the name "New Trends in Cardiovascular Disease Treatment" suggests, the conference focuses on significant, latest advancements in the field of cardiology. The latest guidelines and recommendations are presented, discussed, communicated, and applied in the daily practice of cardiologists.

The diversity of content is also considered an important criterion; NTCC 2025 features many overview presentations such as current trends in valve disease treatment, comprehensive strategies for patients with hypertension, current and future trends in hypertension treatment, comprehensive care for heart failure patients, and the connection between cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic systems. At the same time, there are many in‑depth reports focusing on advanced techniques such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVI), diagnosis and treatment of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, management of atherosclerotic plaques in patients with acute coronary syndrome post‑intervention, control of lipid disorders, atherosclerosis and coronary artery disease, chronic coronary syndrome not caused by coronary artery stenosis, treatment of deep vein thrombosis in the lower limbs, and special situations in atrial fibrillation…

Some reports address contemporary and practical cardiovascular health issues such as coronary artery disease risk factors in young patients, standardizing cardiac ultrasound practice in the era of artificial intelligence, the role of heart transplantation in the treatment of progressive heart failure, which are expected to attract special attention from professionals. In addition to updated reports on treatment, diagnosis, prevention, and management of cardiovascular disease, this year's conference also emphasizes topics related to interdisciplinary coordination in treatment, such as managing metabolic disorders and obesity in cardiovascular patients, protecting renal function in heart failure patients. These topics aim at comprehensive care, maintaining treatment effectiveness as well as preventing dangerous events for patients.

Notably, interventional cases using advanced techniques were performed and broadcast live from hospitals in Can Tho City and Ho Chi Minh City to the conference, providing delegates the opportunity to exchange practical experience.

Currently, the diagnostic and treatment techniques for cardiovascular diseases at many Vietnamese hospitals are fully on par with the region and reaching world standards, with a full range of medications, equipment, and the most advanced techniques. Minimally invasive heart surgeries and heart transplants have become evidence of the high professional level of medical experts, helping patients reduce risk, recover quickly, and no longer needing to go abroad for treatment. Awareness of health protection, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and preventing cardiovascular diseases in the community is also increasingly being raised.

Prof. Dr. Trương Quang Bình, Former Deputy Director of the Hospital, currently Chairman of the Scientific Council of the University Medical Center, said: “The cardiovascular field in Vietnam in general and the University Medical Center of Ho Chi Minh City in particular have made great progress, in which NTCC has made many practical contributions. Scientific conferences are always an opportunity for exchange and learning among leading domestic and international cardiovascular experts, with the ultimate goal of improving the effectiveness of treatment for cardiovascular diseases for patients.”
