Welcome the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (26/3/1931 – 26/3/2025) and welcome the successful Party Congress of the Department of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy HospitalTP. Ho Chi Minh term 2025 - 2030, from March 15 to 16 March, Hospital Youth Union University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City (BV ĐHYD) has organized the program "Journey to the Source 2025" at the historical site of the Saigon-Gia Dinh Youth Union Base, Nui Dinh, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. The trip is not only an opportunity for members to revisit the heroic tradition of the Saigon-Gia Dinh Youth Union forces, but also creates an opportunity to strengthen the collective, develop skills and rekindle the spirit of dedication in each youth member.
The Saigon-Gia Định Youth Union base at Núi Dinh is one of the important sites of the revolutionary struggle movement in the South. During the anti-American resistance period, this place served as a secret operational base for the Saigon-Gia Định Youth Union fighters, playing a crucial role in battles and the struggle movement in the city of Saigon. Arriving at the monument, the young members not only get to hear stories of heroic feats, but also have the opportunity to commemorate and pay tribute to the heroes who sacrificed for the nation's independence and freedom.
In this trip, the members have together cconquer a distance of nearly 10km to reach the summit of La Bàn, which was once a strategically important position of the revolutionary forces. The mountain climbing journey is not only a physical challenge but also an opportunity for each youth union member to gain a deeper understanding of the steadfast will of their predecessors. In addition, the program also organizes many lively activities such as group games, camping exchanges, training to enhance skills in organizing Union activities, helping young union members develop resilience, team spirit, and responsibility to the community.
Sharing about the trip, Dr. Phạm Thị Trường Ngân - Infection Control Department says:“As a young member at the Hospital, the trip back to the source not only helped me connect more with the seniors but also provided an opportunity to revisit the heroic history of the Saigon-Gia Dinh Youth Union.Not only does it hold historical value, the trip also leaves many memorable moments with group activities, campfires, and sharing moments with teammates. I truly cherish the spirit of unity, enthusiasm, and the meaningful experiences that the trip brings. I would like to thank the Executive Committee of the Hospital Youth Union ĐHYD for organizing a meaningful journey, helping each member become more connected and proud of the tradition of the previous generation.”
With many beneficial and meaningful activities, the "Journey to the Source 2025" program not only helps young union members better understand history but also provides an opportunity for each individual to reflect on their role and responsibilities in the development of the country and the healthcare sector. This is precisely the motivation for the young generation of BV ĐHYD continuously train, enhance expertise and continue the spirit of dedication to the community.
