Job Description

  • Participate in meetings to understand patient status, number of existing patients, appointments, new admissions, and other professional issues
  • Monitor developments and the implementation status of the department
  • Join treating physicians, head nurses, and administrative nurses in ward rounds in treatment areas
  • Provide specific prescriptions for each patient
  • When the department chief physician examines a patient, the treating physician is responsible for fully reporting the patient's progress during treatment to seek guidance from the department head
  • Every morning must examine each patient according to orders regarding medication, care regimen, and diet. In the afternoon, revisit the patient again and issue necessary supplementary orders. For critically ill patients, close monitoring and timely intervention are required when abnormal developments occur.
  • Enter medication orders, test orders, etc. into the system
  • For newly admitted patients or those transferred from other departments, immediate examination and orders for medication, care regimen, and diet are required. Within 24 hours, complete the medical record and necessary tests. Emergency patients must have an initial medical record created immediately upon admission.
  • Perform procedures and surgeries assigned by the department head. Prior to execution, re-examine the patient and issue thorough preparation orders to ensure the safest conditions for the patient
  • Daily checks:
    • Medication orders, care regimen, diet, and rest instructions for the patient
    • Orders no longer appropriate for the disease condition must be discontinued immediately
    • Personal hygiene checks for the patient and guidance for self-care and health maintenance
    • At the end of each workday, record in the handover log for the on-call physician the critically ill patients, monitoring requirements, and remaining orders for each patient
  • Participate in on-call duties according to the schedule assigned by the department head
  • Summarize medical records for patients transferred to other departments, discharged, or transferred to other hospitals according to admission, department transfer, hospital transfer, and discharge regulations
  • Continuously encourage patients to trust and feel confident in treatment; personally adhere to medical ethics regulations

Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree preferred; prioritize resident physicians, Specialist I doctors, or Master's in Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine
  • Professional practice certificate
  • Doctors with over 3 years of relevant specialist experience or work at Level 1 hospitals.
  • English proficiency: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 65, TOEIC (Reading & Listening: 650, Writing: level 5, Speaking: level 6).
  • Proficient in office computer applications.
  • Good communication skills.
