The University Medical Center HCMC (UMC) is a leading teaching hospital in Vietnam. One of its core activities is training. In order to optimize training, the hospital diversifies training programs to meet the needs of internal training, other medical facilities, and foreign students.

UMC has abundant human resources with high professional qualifications, strong clinical and paraclinical departments, and a growing number of patients visiting and receiving treatment. As a result, UMC is not only a place of practice for Vietnamese medical personnel, but also a choice for many students from countries such as Japan, Australia, the United States, Thailand, Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, and India.

In addition to these traditional training programs, UMC also provides contract training, task-based training, and technical transfer training for the health sector. These training programs are not part of the national qualification system, but they are designed to meet the specific needs of healthcare providers.

The Endoscopy Training Center at UMC is particularly noteworthy. It organizes many endoscopic training classes for doctors in Vietnam and the region every year. The focus areas of training include digestive endoscopy, liver and gallbladder surgery, joint surgery, and thoracic surgery.

The continuous development of UMC, especially its training activities, has significantly contributed to meeting the need for knowledge enrichment, helping hospitals to apply new methods and techniques in diagnosis and treatment, and improving the quality of treatment and patient care.

The healthcare sector is increasingly expanding and developing at a very rapid pace. For healthcare assistants, job requirements demand that they fully understand their functions, duties, and roles, and be equipped with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills to support patient care. To date, Vietnam's healthcare workforce training systems have not provided a formal training program for healthcare assistants. This situation leads to a shortage of professionally trained healthcare assistants and creates considerable difficulties in recruiting personnel for this position in hospitals.

Infection Control Class 03 months, batch 04
Hospital-acquired infection (HAI) is an undesirable consequence in the practice of diagnosis, treatment and patient care. HAI increases the incidence of disease, raises mortality rates, prolongs treatment duration and especially increases treatment costs. HAI occurs at high density in medical facilities that do not strictly adhere to aseptic practice procedures and where knowledge and attitudes regarding infection control among healthcare staff are limited. Therefore, healthcare workers, especially those in the infection control field, need to be trained and equipped with comprehensive knowledge to coordinate with other specialties, ensuring infection control and patient safety in care and treatment.
