University Medical and Pharmacy Hospital of Ho Chi Minh City and Novartis Vietnam continue to sign a strategic cooperation for the 2025‑2027 period
On November 19, 2025, the University Medical and Pharmacy Hospital of Ho Chi Minh City (BV ĐHYD) and Novartis Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Novartis Vietnam) signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation for the 2025-2027 period, aiming to promote medical innovation, expand clinical research, enhance training capacity, and contribute to optimizing treatment effectiveness for patients in Vietnam.

According to the memorandum of understanding between the two parties, the cooperation focuses on four key areas:
✅ Build and develop a Center of Excellence model (Center of Excellence)
✅ Ongoing medical training and enhancing the capacity of healthcare personnel
✅ Accelerate clinical research collaboration according to international standards
✅ Strengthen the implementation of patient-oriented programs (Patient-oriented Programs)
From 2021 to present, together with the partnership of Novartis Vietnam, Da Nang Hospital (BV ĐHYD) has launched many initiatives to enhance treatment capacity, research and medical training, such as: Heart Failure Management Clinic (Heart Failure Clinic) (2021-2024); Spondyloarthritis Specialty Clinic (SpA Clinic) (2022); Health Transplant Project for transplant patients - UMC Health Transplant Project (2023-2025); Lipid Disorder Control Center (Lipid Control Center - LCC) (2024-2025). In the upcoming period, both parties will continue to expand cooperation in key areas, including improving treatment effectiveness, developing professional training programs and promoting global clinical research.
