6-month practice program to obtain a professional license for medical examination and treatment for the title of Medical Technician in 2025
University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital Ho Chi Minh City announces recruitment for the 6-month practice program to obtain a professional license for medical examination and treatment for the title of Medical Technician as follows:
Eligibility:
Medical Technicians holding one of the degrees specified in points a, b, c, d, i, k of clause 5, Article 8 of Decree No. 96/2023/ND-CP dated 30/12/2023 of the Government detailing certain provisions of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment.
Time and location:
Trainees will practice full‑time, continuously for 6 months in the clinical and sub‑clinical departments of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital Ho Chi Minh City (215 Hong Bang, Cho Lon Ward, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City):
1 month of specialized practice in emergency resuscitation (mandatory), location: Emergency Department;
5 months of specialized practice in medical examination and treatment, trainees will practice in one of the following departments:
The practice schedule will be arranged by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital Ho Chi Minh City to allocate a reasonable number of trainees across departments at the same time;
Trainees are allowed weekly rest according to the hospital's regulations, departmental duty schedule, and the trainee supervisor's practice plan;
Trainees must not be absent for more than 6 (six) days in the total 6‑month practice period. No more than 3 cumulative days of leave per department;
In each department, trainees participate in practice and on‑call duties as per hospital regulations;
If a trainee must suspend practice due to health reasons or other force‑majeure reasons, they may temporarily suspend practice for up to 12 months and retain previous practice results.

Application form for practice at a medical examination and treatment facility;
Practice plan;
Copy of Medical Technician diploma (certified) (temporary graduation certificates not accepted);
Copy of ID card/citizen identification – valid (certified);
Copy of electronic ID (in VNeID app) printed on A4 paper (no certification required).
Note:
From the date the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital Ho Chi Minh City issues a value‑added tax invoice to trainees, reimbursement of practice fees will only apply for cases requesting a pause due to force‑majeure reasons;
Termination of the practice contract if the trainee unilaterally pauses practice for more than 3 days without written notice to the hospital;
After completing the practice period and meeting the requirements for professional competence and ethics, the trainee will be issued a Certificate of Completion of Practice by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital Ho Chi Minh City;
Trainees are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses during the practice at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital Ho Chi Minh City.
